I found my love for running through Little Athletics and in my short lived athletics career, I achieved a 7th place in the womans 100m final and a bronze medal in the womans 4x100m relay, at the 2005 Deaflympics. Nowadays, I have come to appreciate and love long distance running. After having my second child in 2024, I am (again) back on the path of 'returning to running'. It's not easy (or pretty!) and there's always a lot of obstacles in the way (and not just kids toys) but I find it a great way to meditate and I love being part of the great outdoors.
I decided to pursue physiotherapy when I was half-way through my undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Applied Science Human Movement, graduated in 2011) at RMIT University. I found a particular interest in injuries and wanted to learn more. I went on to study a Doctor of Physiotherapy at Macquarie University (graduated in 2015) and in my final year I completed my dissertation which investigated the influence of a runner’s natural foot strike pattern on the foot strike changes induced by speed.
I have a specific interest in lower limb injuries, running related injuries, ConnectTherapy™ and the Thoracic Ring Approach™. Throughout my assessments I will consider how different regions of the body and different body systems might be impacted by and/or impacting your specific concerns, as well as how previous injuries can play a role in your presenting complaint.
I believe in a "no one size fits all" approach and I respect that each individual comes with their own story, experience and challenges. Therefore, when treating, I'll follow the patients footsteps.

I have always had passion for all things sports and fitness related. Growing up I was a competitive runner across all distances and loved playing a wide range of team sports, particularly Rugby. I have also always loved being outdoors, whether that is hiking, camping, mountain bike riding or trail running.
These days I find myself running and competing across a wide variety of endurance distances, from half marathons to ultra-marathon distances. I particularly love trail running and the challenges that come from running Ultra-Marathons, completing numerous 100 mile events to date and continuing to look for bigger and tougher challenges.
This lifetime passion for health and fitness is what has led me to working within the industry. I have a love, and eagerness, to help others achieve their goals. Having previously worked extensively within the community sector, my passions of helping others and all things fitness related can combine to help see clients achieve their goals.
